It’s being reported today that West Bromwich Albion have, at the last minute, backed out of a move for Blackpool midfielder David Vaughan.
Vaughan was expected to give his decision on a move to the Hawthorns today, but ahead of that deadline we apparently pulled the plug leaving many suggesting that the reported ‘shunning’ by Nigel Reo-Coker wasn’t anything of the sort.
I think that’s probably unlikely to be honest, I just don’t see Reo-Coker leaving Villa because of wage demands yet presumably taking a cut to join us, but with so many feelers out at the moment, let alone the nonsense being printed by the wider press, it’s more likely a more favoured choice for Hodgson seems likely so he’s whittling down his list to first choice signings and not backups.
