The Baggies made it six home victories on the bounce after Paul McShane and John Hartson and Kevin Phillips scored the goals that eased them past Leeds.

Albion had the better of the early exchanges and went ahead after just seven minutes when Leeds failed to clear a corner sent over by Neil Clement and McShane got on the end of the loose ball and fired home to make the score 1-0.

Just seven minutes later and it was 2-0 to the Baggies, a long kick from Russell Hoult went over the Leeds defence and there was John Hartson to put the ball past Sullivan in the Leeds goal.

A few moments later and it could have been 3-0 but Hartson`s header from another Clement corner sailed wide of the post.

At the other end Hoult had a relatively easy save to make when Robbie Blake fired a shot straight at him after 25 minutes.

Hartson then forced a brilliant save out of Sullivan when he headed Jonathan Greening`s cross down and the ball looked destined for the net.

Hoult then had two saves to make, the first was an effort from Blake and then he had to keep out a 25 yard drive from Kevin Nichols.

Leeds got a little better after the break, they made a triple substitution with Tore Andre Flo, Armando Sa and Shaun Derry all coming on for Jonathan Howson, Ian Moore and Matty Heath.

But it was Albion who should have finished Leeds off just after the hour mark when Richard Chaplow was sent through on goal by Hartson but again Sullivan made a good save.

Then McShane cut the ball back for Kamara who fired a shot against the bar. At the other end Hoult had another easy save to make when Derry headed the ball straight at him.

But with ten minutes of the game remaining Hoult pulled off a great save when he stopped an effort from Flo at point blank range.

Moments later and Koumas took the ball to the by-line and cut back for Kevin Phillips to roll the ball into an empty net for 3-0.

Then in stoppage time a goalmouth scramble resulted in Robinson putting the ball into his own net.
