Amidst so far unconfirmed reports that Leicester City have recalled loanee Harvey Barnes, there was also speculation yesterday that Luton Town had targeted coach Graeme Jones as a man for their managerial hot seat after Nathan Jones made the move to Stoke City.
With it being claimed last night that Luton had sought permission to speak to Darren Moore’s assistant head coach, the presumption was we’d okay that out of fairness.
A short time ago this afternoon Sky Sports were reporting that Jones himself had declined the opportunity to hold talks with the club, thus staying loyal to us as we continue to look to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking given our placing in the Championship.
Fingers are now crossed that the Barnes claims are just idle rumour mill speculation as well as losing the 21-year-old would obviously be a massive blow to us given the form and goal threat he’s provided for us so far this season.
