Steve Clarke has said the fans’ patience was key to the Baggies picking up their third successive home win.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Clarke thanked the fans for sticking with the team against Reading and he hoped the lateish winner was the perfect tonic for that patience.

‘In the two home performances, the game changed quite late on in both of them. The fans know it takes65 or 75 minutes for the chances to come to win a match and I thought they were really good. They stuck with us and got their reward.’

Now for Wednesday and the Villa game and push on further.
