Roberto Di Matteo reports a clean bill of health before tonight’s televised promotion clash at The Hawthorns.

The virus that spread through the Albion squad last week is no longer a worry and there are no fresh injuries to report.

We can also call on recent signing Gabriel Tamas who could replace Shelton Martis and provide central defensive cover for Abdoulaye Meite, who is away on African Nations Cup duty.

Tamas, the Romania international centre-back, arrived at The Hawthorns last week but didn’t feature in the 2-0 FA Cup win over Huddersfield as he awaited a work permit and international clearance.

Tonight’s game against Forest has been officially declared to be taking place unless the weather deteriorates further on Friday. See official announcement here. Kick-off is scheduled for 7.45pm.

Ishmael Miller and James Morrison are still unavailable to play although Miller appeared for 45 minutes for the reserves in midweek and is well on his way to recovery. Morrison remains around 10 days or so away from a return to first-team training.

Forest boss Billy Davies welcomes back Aston Villa loan signing Nicky Shorey for the game.

Shorey was ineligible to play in the FA Cup tie against Birmingham last weekend but could find himself going straight into the starting line-up.

Forest are again likely to be without Guy Moussi and Julian Bennett.
