Reports are suggesting that we are on the verge of agreeing a deal for Ben Foster, and with that progressing we are going back for Liam Ridgewell.

It’s believed a deal taking Ben Foster on loan this season, with a reputed £4m fee agreed for next summer – should Blues fail to be promoted – is in it’s final stages and will be concluded over the next few days.

With that deal nearing completion it’s also being suggested that we will make firm our interest in Liam Ridgewell who could be available for as little as £2m.

There were tentative links to Ridgewell earlier in the summer, where it’s now being said that talks stalled over the valuation Blues placed on him, but with ongoing rumours and speculation concerning the clubs financial capabilities, we could well go back for the player who it’s said would provide cover for Shorey and Olsson.
