Bryan Robson, the management team and all the players have backed Ronnie Wallwork and said how disappointed they all are at the reception the player received after the midfielder was booed by some fans when his name was read out before the 2-1 win over Arsenal. I think I might repeat that, 2-1 win over Arsenal. Never gets tiresome saying it does it?!

Wenger criticised WBA for ‘negative’ tactics on Saturday. Hmm, 2 goals, 1 goal? Who won again Arsene?

29 year old Nigerian international striker Kanu has been pinpointed by Robson as the man who could inspire The Baggies this season to once again defy the critics and stay up. Despite only 3 goals in 30 appearances last season, Robson remains convinced of the strikers credentials.

Robson has denied that Riccardo Scimeca and Junichi Inamoto will be allowed to leave the Baggies as ‘nonsense’.

Arsenal are reportedly keeping an eye on Liverpool’s on-loan West Brom goalkeeper Chris Kirkland. Both Jens Lehmann and Manuel Almunia are said to not be in Wengers long term plans and the performance of Kirkland v Arsenal at the weekend cannot have gone unnoticed. Wenger is being linked to a transfer window swoop. However Robson is looking to make Kirlands loan deal permanent. It seems obvious, with Jose Reina and Scott Carson arriving at Liverpool, that Kirland will be leaving Anfield.

Rob Davies and Junichi Inamoto scored first-half goals to earn Albion reserves a 2-0 win at Bolton.
