Swans v Throstles

You probably remember the last time we played Swansea and Craig Beattie grabbed the winning goal. For all you masochists out there, here is a reminder.

This time around Swansea are right on our tails and striker Beattie is poised to spoil all of the fun once again.

Fourth-placed Swans could close the gap to six points with a victory tomorrow night and that would give them the momentum over Forest to challenge us for second place.

Once again, I’m afraid, it’s a must win game for the Baggies.

While we are the division’s highest scorers Swansea have the meanest defence. With this in mind we have to wonder what effect losing Roman Bednar is going to have.

The Czech striker was ruled out of the Liberty Stadium trip with a thigh injury picked up in training earlier today.

Ishmael Miller is hoping to be fit and would be the obvious replacement, but after equalising against Blackpool on Saturday he had to leave the field in the 62nd minute with a hamstring problem.

Although this was only considered a ‘precaution’ it surely indicates that his fitness is still not 100%.
