Staying or going?

A number of stories are linking Baggies players to other clubs after our relegation and I thought I would clear up a few of the rumours and put them all in one place so that they are easier to understand.

I have also decided to add my thoughts on the rumour and the chances of these moves happening.

Tomasz Kuszczak is being linked by the Daily Star with a move to Manchester United for £7 million.

Will he move YES or NO? – There is no doubting his contribution this season, a fantastic season for the Polish stopper topped off with a place in Poland’s World Cup squad. If he has a chance to shine in Germany he could move on. I expect him to be here come August unless Poland go on to win the World Cup with him in goal. NO

Curtis Davies is being linked with every top club in the country although Arsenal have been named as the club most likely to test Albion’s resolve. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a big admirer of the Baggies centre-back and they are expected to be offering £8 million for the former Luton man.

YES or NO – Is the one man that has always been rumoured to move away from The Hawthorns and if a club comes in with an offer of £8 million he will be on his way. If Arsenal come knocking Davies will go, could make the step up for England soon. YES

Paul Robinson has been linked today with a move back to the Premiership with either Bolton or Everton. A rumoured fee of £3 million has been dreamed up from somewhere.

YES or NO – Robbo has the ability to play in the Premiership and has become a firm fans favourite. I am hoping that he stays, would be hard to replace. NO

Zoltan Gera has been linked with moves to Manchester City, Aston Villa and Everton. The midfielder missed a lot of last season through injury but managed to come back and score in the last day draw at Everton. When at his best he is amazing to watch, missed a lot of football through injury but still a class act.

YES or NO – If a club comes in with an offer of more than £3 million we could have seen the last of Zoltan, should be playing Premier League football. NO

Nwankwo Kanu is the biggest earner at the club and has a clause allowing him to leave if we were relegated. Linked with Spurs who have now signed a striker, linked with a move back to Ajax earlier in the season but it has gone quiet. Last official news was that Kanu and the club were looking at coming to an agreement allowing the Nigerian to stay.

YES or NO – If he stays he would be the best player at that level, amazing skills that he could still showcase in the top division. No teams showing interest at the moment. Will move abroad, unless he takes a huge pay cut he will move on. YES

Nathan Ellington has been linked with a move back to former club Wigan. Didn’t live up to his £3 million price tag last season, wasn’t helped by injury. If he gets a full pre-season under his belt we could witness a different Duke. I really hope he pulls it off this season, looked deadly for Wigan, can he for us?

YES or NO – Nope, he is staying, get pre-season out of the way Nathan and come back in the best shape possible. You need to show us why we signed you. NO
