Robinson rumours gathering pace

Image for Robinson rumours gathering pace

Albion defender Paul Robinson is the subject of a bid from Premier League newcomers Watford.

Watford are thought to have offered Albion £1 million for the services of the former Vicarage Road man but Albion are holding out for more if they are to let the defender go.

Robinson joined the Baggies from Watford back in October 2003 for £250,000 and he has become a firm fan favourite with his all action displays and commitment.

A return to the top division may be tempting to Robinson, especially with his former side showing the interest.

Aidy Boothroyd is looking to strengthen his squad for the Premiership and the addition of an experienced defender like Paul Robinson would be a good start.

It would be a shame to lose someone like Robinson but if a return ‘home’ is on the cards for the defender then you can not really blame him.

Watford are a growing club and are making all the signs of moving forward and with a man like Boothroyd entering his first Premier League season it is going to be an adventure for them, and I can see Robbo wanting to join his former side to be a part of that.

Do you think he will go? Let me know.
