Report: Club make contact with representatives of West Brom man as transfer interest grows

|

Rangers have become the latest club to take an interest in signing West Brom’s on-loan West Ham attacker Grady Diangana, a report from the Scottish Herald has claimed.

Diangana joined West Brom on a season-long loan from West Ham back in the summer transfer window, and has enjoyed a hugely impressive season at The Hawthorns, scoring seven goals and providing five assists for the promotion-chasing Baggies.

It has recently been claimed that both Celtic and Ajax are keen on a move for Diangana this summer, and it now seems as though the 22-year-old’s number of suitors is growing.

According to the latest reports, Rangers have also joined the race to sign Diangana, as they look to strengthen their side ahead of another battle for the Scottish title with Celtic next season.

Is Grady Diangana good enough for Celtic or Rangers?

Yes

No

Indeed, it is thought that Rangers have already made contact with Diangana’s representatives about a move to Ibrox, and had even been close to securing the player’s services last summer before they turned their attention elsewhere.

Diangana himself is said to be willing to consider a move to Scotland, with the attacker’s main priority for next season reportedly securing regular first-team football, something he would be willing to leave West Ham, either permanently or on loan, in order to do so.

This only looks to be another blow to West Brom’s hopes of a reunion with Diangana next season.

Given how good he has been for them in the current campaign, you could certainly understand it if they were to be interested in bringing him back to The Hawthorns.

However, the interest from elsewhere could prompt a bidding war that Albion may not be able to afford to get into, and you couldn’t blame Diangana if he was to be tempted by the opportunity to play in Europe or compete for silverware with one of those other clubs should an offer emerge.
