No Favours For Those At The Bottom

Chris Brunt has said Albion are focused on getting as many points as possible and we won’t be doing favours for anybody at the bottom.

With two of Albions last four games against teams fighting relegation, the skipper told wba.co.uk that Albion would not be switching off as we came to the end of the season.

‘We want as many points as possible and over 50 would be great. That’s definitely something we were looking at at the start of the season. We’ve left ourselves with four games to do it and that’s another target for us to try to beat again next season.’

Especially following Clarke’s words about hoping Villa avoid the drop, Brunt says we won’t role over for Wigan and gift them the points, but we aren’t going to role over for anybody anyway.

The game does take on a bit of a different aspect as Paul Scharner will be making his first return to The Hawthorns since leaving us at the end of last season.

Brunt says he believes he’ll be given a welcome response from the fans for all his did for the club during his time with us, and he knows many of the players will be looking forward to seeing him again.
