Mulumbu Is Untouchable

West Bromwich Albion have dismissed suggestions that Youssouf Mulumbu will be a target for Chelsea following the appointment of Roberto Di Matteo as assistant boss.

Malu Mpasinkatu, Congo’s football director has told the press that Mulumbu would be a priority target for Chelsea.

‘I know that Di Matteo wants to bring Mulumbu to the club of Roman Abramovich. West Brom are asking for 11m euros.’

Albion however claim that no price has been put on the midfielders head and he remains an untouchable who won’t be allowed to leave the club this summer.

Quite how Mr Mpasinkatu would know of Robbie’s plans or Albion’s potential valuations are beyond me but it seems a concerted effort is being made at the moment to either unsettle Mulumbu or tempt the Baggies into selling him.

All of which should come to nothing, hopefully.
