Youssouf Mulumbu has today completed his first full training session after recovering from injury and tiredness from International action.
Speaking to wba.co.uk the midfielder talked about the mental and physical battle he had undergone but he’s now hopeful he can be in contention for the Liverpool game on Monday.
‘I missed the QPR FA Cup game before the African Cup of Nations with what I thought was a small injury. But the intensity of the games meant I needed a rest when I came back. It was hard mentally and physically I feel refreshed. I think I will be fit for Monday’s game, my knee is getting better, and I felt really good today, I even scored some goals.’
Getting Mulumbu back will be a big boost given our midfield issues and current form, he’ll definitely help tighten us up and add an edge to the team.
