James Morrison has praised his colleagues for our comeback in the match against Portland Timbers.
Speaking to the E&S Morrison revealed that he was pleased with the response shown by the players, but equally his own response after failing to convert a penalty.
‘Portland gave us a bit of a lesson in the first half but our lads deserve credit because we fought back and had our chances, including me with the penalty. But it’s about what you do after you make a mistake and I like to think I contributed well after that. I think the miss spurred us on.’
Whether it was the half time words, or the penalty, it’s good to see we’ve still got that ability to fightback after the break. Now we have to work on not going behind so often so we don’t continually make life difficult for ourselves.
