Gareth McAuley has said he is proud of his team mates after our stunning 10 goal thriller against Manchester United.
Speaking to wba.co.uk following the fightback against the Champions, the 33 year old said.
‘The game was like a boxing match where oth teams were just slugging away, goal for goal. It was a game fitting of the occasion. We never gave up, we kept on going. It was just an amazing game of football. At 5-2 down there’s a long way to come back.’
McAuley also had heaps of praise for hat trick hero Romelu Lukaku who scored his first ever hat trick in the game to help get us back on level terms.
