Young West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Luke Daniels has joined League Two outfit Shrewsbury Town on a month long loan, with a view to a permanent move.

Ex-Manchester United youth & England U-19 goalie Daniels, 20, has slipped down the pecking order at the Hawthorns with big-name summer signing Scott Carson. Now behind Carson, Kiely and Danek in the pecking order the decision has been made to allow Luke to look for first team opportunities elsewhere.

Having never-made a first-team appearance for the club, it is unlikely that the majority of fans will be aware of his departure; even if it is made permanent. Still young, and highly rated by the reserve staff, good luck to the young ‘keeper and it would be good to see him back at the Hawthorns playing for another side in the future.
