Injury Boost For Hodgson

Roy Hodgson can expect to name an unchanged side against Spurs after a few of our injury doubts returned to training.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson explained that Peter Odemwingie, Paul Scharner and Graham Dorrans all returned to training. Shane Long also seems to have recovered from the knock he took.

‘Peter is fit and available, he’s trained very well over the last couple of days. He hasn’t played for a bit so you’d expect him to be a bit rusty but his training was first class and it was nice to see him back.’

Hodgson adds that Odemwingie won’t start the game, but he has no problems with giving him a run out in the second half.

‘Scharner is alright. He came back to training the same day as Peter and you’d never have thought he’d been away. Shane took a knock earlier in the week, but he has recovered well. I’m fairly confident Long will be fit.’

Hodgson also added that Dorrans returned to training yesterday and has been declared fit, so he’d expect him to figure on the bench.
