Roy Hodgson has called on the Baggies fans to keep their faith and play their part as we bid to secure survival in April.

In quotes carried on the Birmingham Mail the new gaffer speaks abut how important the fans are and how we’ve had a rough time this season.

‘The fans are important people, they need to support us through these difficult nine games ahead.’

Roy adds that he knows fans will forgive genuine errors if they see the players sweating blood and working their socks off on the pitch, and that, that forgiveness or understanding he believes can go a long way in helping to keep the squad motivated, happy and firing on all cylinders as opposed to fans getting frustrated and being vocal in that direction.

‘I get the feeling they are battle hardened and realise the lads out there are doing their best for them. They are going to be important people for us, especially with that unchallenging support – the support that comes when you’re 1-0 down, not when you’re 1-0 up.’
