Michael Appleton has admitted a few strong words at half time helped to spur the Baggies onto our victory against the Portland Timbers.

Speaking to wba.co.uk our assistant coach hailed our second half performance and the response of the players to the gaffers words at half time.

‘It was a little bit of a rollercoaster and we had to show the sort of spirit we so often did last season in coming from behind to win a game. We didn’t beat around the bush at half time, yet again we got the response we were looking for, we played very well in the second half.’
