West Bromwich Albion have today confirmed that Zoltan Gera has been re-signed on a 12 month contract.
Not sure what the delay has been here, but he put pen to paper on the deal today and the 34 year old will be looking forward to an injury free campaign after being sidelined since January with an anterior cruciate knee ligament injury.
Gera should return to full training on Monday week, and then should all go well he’ll be ready for first team contention in early October.
Speaking to the Official Site Steve Clarke said.
‘It’s great to have Zoltan on board for another season. I believe his form last season before his injury was as good as at any time in his career and our main aim is to get him back to that level as quickly as possible. If he reaches that level again, he’ll be a great asset for us.’
