Keith Downing has said the coaching staff were delighted with our comeback against Bolton, and it showed that Roy was committed to seeing out the season with us.

With many pundits talking about how seriously the game would be taken following news of Roy’s appointment to the England role, and speaking to wba.co.uk Downing said the players did the club proud.

‘Things have been said this week about the timing of the FA’s decision. We knew the magnitude of the game and I think this result is a testament to the players, their concentration and application. It was a brave performance by us, we controlled the game possession wise and we were pleased with the reaction of our players.’
