This is a repeat of the tie last season which saw Reading progress after a replay at the Hawthorns. It also saw the end of Gonzalo Jara’s season following an awful tackle that went unpunished.

Usually in cup games Premier League teams will want to give their squad players the opportunity to get an outing. In West Brom’s case they have few options in defence but they can change it around a bit up front in Midfield.

Robbie’s Thoughts

‘For us the priority is the Barclays Premier League but we are also in a position where we want to get a win and get the positivity back.

There is a bit of history there between us and them and I would expect something similar tomorrow.

We had four games with them last season and you know how they went.

It’s always very tight and it is probably going to be similar this year.
