West Bromwich Albion go into their fourth game in ten days with no new injury worries following the point earned in the 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray seems to have few options other than to stick with the 4-4-1-1 formation that has served him well since the loss of star strikers Kevin Phillips and Ishmael Miller to knee injuries.

Albion will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to nine games, a sequence that has seen them cut the gap to league leaders Watford to a solitary point.

The Baggies have won six of their last seven Championship encounters with the Sky Blues, scoring 15 goals to Coventry’s one.

The lone success for the Sky Blues came nearly five years ago, in December 2003, when substitute Johnnie Jackson scored an 89th minute goal in a 1-0 win at Highfield Road.

Vital Quotes:

On the prospect of the return of 11-goal striker Michael Mifsud, Coventry manager Iain Dowie told the Coventry Evening Telegraph: ‘You don`t need to be a rocket scientist to work out that he will be right back in contention because he gives us something different.`

West Bromwich Albion Team News:

Albion are likely to be unchanged from the side that drew at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Expected line-up (4-4-1-1): Kiely; Hoefkens, Barnett, Cesar, Robinson; Gera, Koren, Greening, Brunt; Teixeira; Bednar. Subs: Steele, Beattie, Chaplow, Pele, MacDonald.

Tony Mowbray’s only other option seems to be to go with a 4-4-2, with either Craig Beattie or Sherjil MacDonald replacing Chris Brunt and Filipe Teixeira dropping back into midfield.

Player to watch: Roman Bednar

The big Czech striker made a stunning two-goal debut in the 2-1 win at Plymouth Argyle last week and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet at Selhurst Park on Saturday with an effort that cannoned off the crossbar.

Coventry City Team News:

Leading scorer Michael Mifsud is likely to figure in the Coventry line-up for the first time since being sent off in his side`s 4-0 home defeat by the Baggies three weeks ago.

The Maltese striker has been sorely missed by the Sky Blues, who have only scored only once in their three games since, and that came from the penalty spot.

Player to watch: Michael Mifsud

The one ray of sunshine in a largely overcast season for the Sky Blues thus far.
