Steve Clarke has said he remains calm as we continue working towards targets for the season ahead.
Speaking to wba.co.uk Clarke assured fans that the club were working hard behind the scenes, but as is the nature with transfers sometimes they fall into place immediately, other times they take forever.
‘When you’re chasing players you’re always making enquiries, always speaking to people. It would be wrong of us to mention names, or comment. We are pursuing a number of targets. Now whether they fall into place tomorrow, or next week, no one can tell, so you have to be patient. At the moment, I’m not nervous because I know the people we have in mind. They are good, realistic targets who haven’t gone anywhere else.’
The media certainly don’t seem to mind mentioning names.
Today there are links again to Salomon Kalou and a new one to Craig Gardner, whilst they also say Peter Odemwingie’s move to Al Nasr has fallen through.
