In the recent vote to determine the fans star man in the first game of the new season at the Emirates, Leon Barnett earned 35% of the votes to shade the other contender, Kim Do-Heon, by a mere 1%.

Both Barnett and Kim were obviously candidates for the tag of star performer in the 1-0 defeat, and I gave Kim the accolades in my post match review, but the majority have spoken and edged out the South Korean international in favour of the ever improving young centre-back.

Ishmael Miller and debutante Scott Carson were the other players to achieve recognition in the poll, earning 11% and 10% of the votes respectively.

While Jonno, Meite, Robinson and Brunt all got a handful of votes, unsurprisingly Hoefkens, Cech, and Morrison, generally regarded as the worst performers against the north Londoners, all garnered precisely 0% of the votes each.
