Salomon Rondon and James McClean now formally know they both serve three match suspensions for violent conduct dismissals in the game against Bournemouth at the weekend.

McClean was the first off the pitch following his foul in the 34th minute of the game, and Rondon followed in second half injury time for his piece of stupidity.

West Brom didn’t appeal either red card quite sensibly, and the Football Association have now confirmed the pair will serve their three game bans in the Boxing Day clash against Swansea City, Newcastle on December 28 and Stoke on January 2.

Head coach Tony Pulis was quoted following the game as saying.

‘McClean’s challenge is a poor challenge and if he decides to send him off then you can’t argue with it. But the tackle before that, Adam Smith’s tackle on him, Mike not far away from it and he doesn’t give a free-kick, I think that was still in McClean’s mind. I’m not condoning the challenge, it was a very, very poor challenge. But if Mike Dean gives the first free-kick then that doesn’t even happen. Salomon’s reaction wasn’t good. That’s the first time we’ve seen that from Salomon, his frustration boiled over and that shouldn’t happen.’
