West Brom keeper Dean Kiely believes the Baggies must get tough if they are to survive in the Premier League and feels they could take a leaf out of Hull’s book.

“We still have to feel confident we can stay up. Barring Manchester United, we’ve traded blows with the teams we’ve played in terms of footballing ability. We have to convert spending time on the ball into being effective and winning games. We’ve shown we’re not out of our depth. This league isn’t beyond us.

“Hull have been an inspiration after getting into the top flight for the first time in their history. I think they’re using the newness of it all. It’s a little reminiscent of when I was in the Charlton side that first got into the Premier League way back when.”
