West Bromwich Albion have joined the race along with Wolverhampton, Norwich City and Sheffield Wednesday to sign former Sheffield United striker Billy Sharp from Scunthorpe United.

Sharp, 21 has been attracting interest from around the Championship since the Irons were promoted from League One, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sheffield Wednesday and Norwich City have all seen a £2,500,000 bid accepted.

However the former Sheffield United trainee has been offered a new contact by the Glamford Park club but is expected to reject a new deal in favour of a bigger club.

Should he leave the Irons in a cash transfer then the Blades will see 25% of the value heading their way to Bramall Lane.
