Latest transfer-window rumours link West Bromwich Albion with yet more strikers and a Czech goalkeeper.

WEST Bromwich Albion manager Tony Mowbray has distanced himself from weekend reports that suggested he is planning transfer-window moves for Aston Villa striker Luke Moore and Hibernian left back David Murphy.

Mowbray was linked with both players during the summer but says he has not inquired about either player.

Albion are still the focus of a number of media reports ahead of the opening of the January transfer window, now less than a fortnight away.

RUMOURED OUT

Glasgow Rangers are the latest club to be linked with a move for Albion defender Paul Robinson, joining a possee of interested clubs headed by Wigan Athltic and Bolton Wanderers.

Martin Albrechtsen is on Aston Villa`s radar, due to the uncertainty over the futures of defensive duo Olof Mellberg and Martin Laursen. Villa have also joined the growing list of Zolan Gera`s admirers and Middlesborough`s interest is said to have been rekindled.

RUMOURED IN

Nottingham Forest`s Nathan Tyson is said to be interesting Albion, as well as Bolton Wanderers, Queens Park Rangers and Bristol City.

Reports emanating from the Czech republic suggest that 24-year-old goalkeeper Michal Danek, who plays for FC Viktoria Plzen in the Czech first division, is on his way to The Hawthorns. The 6ft 5in keeper was reportedly a Celtic target back in August. He has represented his country at every age level from U15-U21. He has been called up to the Czech Republic senior squad but has yet to make his full international debut.

And the news wires in Seoul are still buzzing with the news that Albion are locked in talks with representatives of South Korean international midfielder Kim Do-heon. A deal could be concluded within a week, Reuters report.
