1. Philosophy

Di Matteo has been a top level player in Italy in the 90`s; he has played in the best Italians teams and was trained by very important Italian coaches (Sachi, Maldini), who taught him the basic principles of the Italian football mind.

Careful study of defensive game

Improvement of the technical skills of individual players

2. History

His football experience in Chelsea opened his mind as a player, giving him an extraordinary football vision and experience (winner: FA Cup, League Cup, Community Shield, UEFA Cup Winner’s Cup, UEFA Super Cup).

He has become a really intelligent, sensitive and flexible trainer with very good know how and the right mind to become one of the best coaches on market.

3. Tactics

The main aim of his game is not letting the opposition score a goal, or score as few goals as possible.

Hard work with commitment and efforts, big intensity, the harder you work during the week, the easier you play during the match.

A perfect balance between defensive game and offensive game; moving from defence to attack as fast as possible, so that the team is always well-positioned on the field, both when attacking and defending.

Thanks Andrea, it’s nice to be reminded of Robbo’s achievements.

Are these values being incorporated into this Albion side?
