3 Tackles, 1 Key Pass & 68 Touches Takes West Brom Loanee To MotM

|

Any slim hopes of automatic promotion for West Bromwich Albion this season probably evaporated with the weekend’s defeat to Millwall at The Den.

The hosts took a pretty comfortable 2-0 victory on Saturday and our day was summed up by Jay Rodriguez’s penalty miss and the late red card (two bookable offences) for Ahmed Hegaxi.

Statistics website Whoscored didn’t give fans much to shout about in their player ratings, but on loan Manchester City defender Tosin Adarabioyo did take Man of the Match with a score of 7.21 for his efforts.

He was the only player to get a seven-plus score though, and our top five on the day were completed by Jake Livermore (6.74), Conor Townsend (6.58), goalkeeper Sam Johnstone (6.47) and Mason Holgate (6.44).

The Play-Off spots weren’t good enough for the Board when it came to Darren Moore, and Jimmy Shan has done his best to work miracles since he took caretaker charge but there’s a reason we are where we are.

Onto the next one.
