1 Shot, 5 Key Passes & 74 Touches Sees West Brom Stalwart Take MotM

West Bromwich Albion were given the Friday evening Championship slot following the end of the March international break, and the fixture list saw us host Birmingham City.

Plenty expected a lively game at The Hawthorns, and fans in attendance were given five goals on the evening under the floodlights, and thankfully for us, caretaker gaffer Jimmy Shan’s record continues as we took the three points and the win.

Having fallen behind on two occasions, goals from Dwight Gayle and Jay Rodriguez kept us in the match and a late effort from Jake Livermore ultimately proved to be enough to take the win.

Statistics website Whoscored gave our Man of the Match to midfielder Chris Brunt with a score of 7.57.

Livermore took second spot with 7.54, and completing the top five on the night were Conor Townsend (7.24), Mason Holgate (7.21) and Rodriguez (7.07). Gayle also received a plus-seven score for his efforts.

On we plod with promotion still the aim.
