Roy Hodgson has revealed that Zoltan Gera is well ahead of schedule in his recovery, and could return by the end of next month.

Speaking to wba.co.uk Hodgson said that Gera was already out doing light training, and that it would be a welcome sight to see him back amongst full training as soon as he is able.

‘Zoltan is actually ahead of schedule. We’re hoping by the end of April he might be able to take part. He’s out playing head tennis and running, but of course he’s not doing the twisting and turning and also the contact that is involved.’

The fact he’s back in light training already is a bonus, but the club are certainly right not to overly rush his return.
