West Bromwich Albion’s search for a new head coach continues at a snail’s place and although former Wolfsburg gaffer Bruno Labbadia certainly appeared to invigorate the fans given their reactions on social media, it appears that club aren’t quite as sold.
The E&S reported the other day that talks with the manager have been placed on hold after he met with technical director Luke Dowling, as he’d now fallen down our shortlist.
The E&S suggest that claims of his wage demands being the reason by the change are wide of the mark, but fans understandably hold a different view given life at The Hawthorns under Guochuan Lai in recent years.
If it wasn’t wage demands, it’s only an educated guess to believe it was investment related of some kind of another given the rebuild we absolutely must do this summer.
He must have been asking for more than £20 a week and a bag of scratchings

Genuinely angers me how this club is run

Glad they feel they can take their time, it’s not like we have an entire squad to rebuild or anything. Great stuff.

Wow didn’t see that coming that he would want too much money ????!! Why don’t they just ask one of the fans to do it and just double his tool making wages pay him £600 a week how’s that Mr Lai, more like the budget you had in mind ????????♂️????????♂️

Closer to the start of preseason now than our last game of last season… when you consider he was sacked before that wow

Glad to see the hierarchy aren’t concerned about how long it’s taking ????

How many good managers are going to slip through Jenkins fingers; Smith, Potter, Labbadia.. total and utter incompetence
— Dominic Hill (@DomHill83) June 4, 2019
Most championship teams are already planning for next season, have managers and looking at players etc. Baggies looking for the cheapest option manager wise to bring in who will then have about a week or so to bring players in with a very little to no budget ???? mid table I think

Shows how unambitious we are.

We’ll have to wait and see if we get some clarity in the coming days as the transfer window is already open and we’re losing further ground.
