Baggies Word On The Tweet

“What a baller”, “Too easy for you” – Many West Brom fans and player rave about midfielder

|

Plenty of West Bromwich Albion fans have been talking up the ability of Romaine Sawyers after the club shared some of his passing statistics this season.

So far this campaign, the player has made 33 appearances and 2112 passes in total with a whopping average pass success rate of 90.2 per cent, as you can read below.

With the midfielder being in such good nick with the ball at his feet this season, the Baggies’ social team are doing their bit to boast about it and shared the stats via Twitter.

Sawyers moved from Brentford at the beginning of the campaign for a fee believed to be around ยฃ2.88m (Transfermarkt), and as you can tell from those statistics and the fact that they are second in the league, it looks to be a great deal with just nine games to go.

Would you have Gareth Barry for another season?

He's 39, needs to go now

A very useful option

Depends on promotion

In his 33 games, he has only scored once and assisted once, but his ability to keep the game ticking has been essential to the team’s success thus far.

Here is what some fans are saying about him on Twitter below, including one message from a fellow teammate in Matheus Periera…

With Saywers being an Albion boy at heart – he used to be a ballboy when he was younger and was a fan growing up – this is the perfect opportunity for him to make his first entrance to the Premier League.

Despite over 300 Football League appearances, he is still yet to make it to the big time – and what better way than with your own team. Baggies fans will surely be hoping to see him represent the club in the top-tier next season.
