The rulers of the game, no not the F.A. or Premier League but Sky and Setanta, have announced changes to the fixture list to accommodate televised games.

West Brom kick off proceedings with a game at the Emirates against Arsenal on Saturday 16 August at 12.45 pm. Such a sociable time to play football.

Things get even better when the Baggies play host to Aston Villa on Sunday 21 September. This time the police get their way and kick off is at noon. Really, West Midlands Police ought to be able to control 27,000 fans at a later time than that!!

Both games are on Sky.

Setanta begin their coverage of Albion on Saturday October 18 with an away game against Champions, Manchester United and this is followed by a trip to Anfield, the home of Liverpool, on Saturday November 8. Both games kick off at 5.30 pm.

So far as far as Albion fans are concerned there is little disruption to the fixtures as originally published but a greater share of the television pot would be welcomed.
