West Brom Tipped To Secure Centre-Half Before Monday

|

Yesterday evening Sky Sports gave an update on our speculated interest in Swansea City centre-half Kyle Bartley.

Our rumoured interest in Bartley is not new at all, he’s been a regular fixture on the rumour mill and West Brom quickly seemed to move into pole position for his signature once transfer issues at Leeds United reared its head.

According to the latest reports, it’s believed both clubs are close to agreeing a fee in the region of £4million for the 27-year-old centre-half. He did only make twelve appearances for the Liberty Stadium outfit last season following injury in late August. Ultimately he required surgery in September on the medial ligament damage, but he did return to action in January, making nine appearances in the second half of the campaign as he built himself back up.

Sky believe that the deal will be confirmed and announced possibly today, but for sure over the weekend.

It would be decent progress from the Baggies given how quiet transfer moves in have been so far and then hopefully we can get some momentum.
