The deadline for existing season ticket holders to renew for the 2008/09 season passed at 1pm on Friday.

Amazingly 1600 supporters failed to renew in time and it looks like the current waiting list of 1300 will all now get the chance to purchase a season ticket.
The remaining 300 tickets are sure to be snapped up quickly once their availability is known.

The club have confirmed that they will be contacting people on the waiting list from the end of the week and expect the process to take between 2 to 4 weeks.

Fans can add their name to the waiting list by contacting the ticket office in person, by phone on 0871 271 9780, or by post.

It’s surprising that 1600 fans failed to renew but with television playing such a big part in kick off days and times some fans may have felt unable to commit to a season ticket.

  • Mybe that tells you the expectations of those 1600 people next season. I find it staggering thought that they would prefer to see a team winning in the Championship.

  • It could well be that those people’s circumstances have changed, jobs lost, etc. or they will not be able to get to many games because of television coverage constantly demanding days and times are changed. There will be no problem with the tickets being sold though.

  • Spot on Lord Shepherd, circumstances do change. It does seem rather a large amount that have not renewed though.
