West Brom Reject West Ham United’s Centre-Half Bid

|

It was being reported yesterday by the Telegraph that West Bromwich Albion has rejected a firm offer from West Ham United for centre-half Craig Dawson.

John Percy claimed that sources has informed them that David Moyes had launched a £12million offer for our 28-year-old but it had been instantly knocked back by the club as we rate him more in the region of £20million given the prices that defenders have moved for in recent seasons.

A number of clubs have been tentatively linked with the player so far this summer but the main interest has been from Burnley so far with reports of their rejected £25million bid on a deal that also saw a return for Jay Rodriguez to Turf Moor.

It’s said that the London club are weighing up whether to make an improved offer for him, but that the Baggies are still hopeful of tying him down to an extension and new permanent head coach Darren Moore looks at an outside shot of leading us to promotion at the first time of asking in 2018/19.

Fingers crossed nothing comes of this.
