West Brom Player Brings The Curtain Down After Nine Years At The Club

|

With the speculation expectedly returning this summer about the future of West Bromwich Albion centre-half Craig Dawson, on Monday the club confirmed that he had now completed his move to Premier League side Watford.

Officially the transfer goes through for an undisclosed fee, but when reports of the Vicarage Road outfit’s interest surfaced many stated that the fee would simply be £5.5million which is a snip fee for him really given his true value.

With only 12 months left on his contract now though and all the issues from last summer still fresh in the minds of many fans, most will be glad to see the back off him but it becomes another transfer we have arguably failed to maximise.

The 29-year-old arrived at The Hawthorns from Rochdale back in 2010 and he departs with 15 goals to his name in 225 appearances.

Last summer soured things sadly and his criticism last year was a little bit scapegoaty at points but a number of fans will remember his better days as for that price, Watford have got a reasonable bargain.
