According to The Mirror there is a potential loan bid in the pipeline for Sunderland and Northern Ireland striker David Healy.

Despite West Brom putting five goals past Watford on Saturday there are still injury concerns, and Healy could be seen as a potential temporary replacement for, the still unavailable, Ishmael Miller.

Healy, scorer of 35 goals for the Northern Ireland side, has yet to get off the mark for Sunderland, having only made two substitute appearances so far this season.

  • We have got fit strikers who need extended runs in the side , to hone their skills and gain experience together. taking on a loan striker will only set this process back.

  • Good point, well made! I certainly think that Moore, Dorrans, and Thomas looked to be working well together on Saturday; they would certainly benefit from more games together.

But are we saying that this is the finished article?
