The Baggies have signed Real Mallorca’s Borja Valero in a £4.7 million deal.

The Spanish playmaker will now be hoping for his home debut in the Hawthorns opener against Everton.

Tony Mowbray now has a wealth of options in Midfield and he is looking to add to those with the signing of Charlton’s Chinese international Zheng Zhi.

The deal is expected to be forced through before the transfer window closes on 1 September.

  • This is a tremendous signing. The release clause in the contract that allowed the Baggies to sign Valero is a lot less than he is actually worth. If we were to sell Valero tomorrow we would probably get an extra £3-£4 million on top of what we have paid.

  • A nice name for the terraces – ‘When the ball hits the back of the Albion net, it’s Valero”

  • Hi fellas. Dom here from vital everton, one of my ed’s has tried emailing you some questions to be answered but the reply you sent him is all garbled in code :S any chance you can reply to questions again before tomorrow? im sure he’d be happy to do the same 😀 thanks and good luck tomorrow.

  • TheShamen has sent it twice apparently, are you sure it hasn’t been redirected to junk mail?
