West Brom Duo Are Expected Back For Ipswich Trip

|

West Bromwich Albion have given an injury update on Chris Brunt, Kyle Bartley and Harvey Barnes.

Long-serving 33-year-old Brunt last featured for us in the 1-0 defeat to Hull City at the beginning of November and he was replaced by Sam Field just after the half-hour mark. The former Northern Ireland international suffered a hamstring injury, but his recovery and rehabilitation is going well so far and it’s believed he will return to head coach Darren Moore’s thoughts for the Ipswich tie a week on Friday.

Bartley also missed the Leeds United victory having picked up a knee injury in training. There’s no timescale given on a possible return for the 27-year-old former Swansea City man.

Finally, Barnes. He withdrew from the England Under 21 setup earlier in the week following a foot problem and he returned to the club yesterday for further assessments.

At the time of typing there was no update on the 20-year-old, but his issue continues to be presented as a precautionary withdrawal and not something that should preclude him from involvement at Portman Road.
