West Brom Could Welcome This Man Back For Friday’s Derby

|

West Bromwich Albion head coach Darren Moore has revealed that summer arrival Bakary Sako is now back in full training as we continue our preparations for the Aston Villa derby on Friday evening.

Having come into The Hawthorns as a free agent back at the beginning of October following his release by Crystal Palace, the 30-year-old has only made one start and one substitute showing so far, but he was ruled out of the last three Championship matches (Ipswich Town, Swansea City and most recently Brentford) with injury.

The Birmingham Mail have the gaffer explaining that he’d now returned to full contact training so would come back into his thoughts if there are no issues between now and the game.

“He’s back in full contact training now. We’re pleased to have him back. He’s only been back in full contact for two or three days. When they’ve been out you want to give them that volume in training, but he is back in full contact now.”

It’s expected that Kyle Bartley will continue to be missing for this one, but with Hal Robson-Kanu’s halftime substitution after he took a whack, his involvement will be subject to a late fitness test so we don’t cause any complications by bringing him back into the fold too quickly.
