West Bromwich Albion have confirmed that we will travel to Oakwell to face Barnsley in a pre-season friendly this summer.
Our new head coach, Darren Moore, will return to the side that he spent two seasons with during his playing days where he notched up 76 senior appearances for the side.
We make the trip on Tuesday, July 24 and the game will kick off at 7.30pm. Ticket details will follow in due course.
It is West Brom’s third friendly announcement of the summer following on from trips to Barnet on July 7 and Swindon Town on July 14.
In other news, this Friday sees the first round draw for this year’s EFL Cup.
Taking place in Vietnam, West Brom’s last-place finish in the Premier League last season sees us enter the competition at round one. Teams are split into North and South Sections but there is no seeding for the draw.
We have been handed the No 32 ball in the Southern Section and the draw should commence at 10.45am UK time.
