“We’ll See Where That Leaves Us” – Shan Not Looking Too Far Ahead As West Brom Take A Point

|

With West Bromwich Albion making it back to back victories in Good Friday’s clash with Hull City, interim head coach Jimmy Shan was looking for three victories on the spin in today’s second Easter clash against Reading at the Madejski Stadium.

Sadly we didn’t manage to take the victory, as Reading held us to a point on the day and after a pretty dull first half, whilst things did open up more in the second period, it was pretty evenly balanced albeit they had slightly more of the ball.

With Albion unable to take advantage though, that point did secure our place in the Play-Offs so a season extension is now guaranteed as we look to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

Speaking to the BBC following the fulltime whistle, Shan would’ve obviously liked the win, but he said of our efforts on the day.

“We always have an eye on the play-offs but we also look at each game in isolation and keep ticking them off. There are obviously still games to play, all we can do is keep focusing on our games. We’ll see where that leaves us at the end of the season.”
