Back towards the end of September, it was confirmed that West Bromwich Albion centre-half Ahmed Hegazi had now returned to training following the ankle injury he sustained, that required surgery following his international duty for Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations.
With a very solid start to life under new head coach Slaven Bilic in the 2019/20 Championship campaign, fans were naturally delighted to see the experienced 28-year-old back, knowing he would provide a good boost to our options in defence.
It feels great to be back after injury, on a fresh new start for our beloved national team ????????????????

At the point, he had no timescale for a return to contention but he was slightly ahead of schedule as it was, but the October international break saw him return to action for his country and he came through the 90 minutes against Botswana unscathed.
Taking to social media following the game to celebrate his long awaited return to the pitch, Hegazi was clearly delighted to be back, and plenty of fans were pleased for him as well.
