Wantaway West Brom Winger Gets His Wish – Hope He Doesn’t Get Injured

|

On Thursday evening West Bromwich Albion confirmed that a deal had been struck with French Ligue 1 club AS Monaco for the services of wantaway and constantly injured let down Nacer Chadli.

The clubs’ statement described the fee as undisclosed but confirmed that the French side had upped their original offer on Wednesday evening and we finally decided to accept it as it was far better than having him stick around.

Therefore it’s not the release fee of a reported £13million that I’ve seen in some quarters as has stuck in my head, but it’s a tidy fee according to Sky Sports who state £10million.

£10million is fine for a player who’s not fit for his employers but is for his country in my mind.

Some moves don’t work out for players, we know that, but they can behave better and they’ll be perceived better even if it’s agreed the transfer was a failure.

Good riddance.
