The West Brom run in the FA Cup is continuing for at least one more round after the fourth round replay win against Peterborough, four-three on penalties, at London Road on Wednesday.

This replay looked to be going the way of the League 1 side after they took a second half lead, which had already been threatened, through Jon Taylor, who had taken this to a replay anyway, when he finished from Lee Angol’s set up.

In the final 20-minutes, having weathered the Peterborough storm, Darren Fletcher picked up cross that wasn’t fully cleared to fired in the equaliser for West Brom to take it to extra time at one-one, which Saido Berahino could have won at the death at the end of that period.

When it came to penalties Ben Foster had saved an effort from the impressive Martin Samuelsen with Fletcher also putting an effort wise but when the England ‘keeper saved again to deny Angol that was that and Albion were through to face Reading in round five.

Following the win we know it’ll be another lower league side, but one from the Championship, next time as West Brom look to continue the cup bid.

Who was the Albion MotM in this game? That’s what the latest poll is asking so do cast a vote.
